discharge planners or other BH employees, except that Non-BH Providers may, with the prior consent of the case management director for the facility, permit representatives of Non-BH Providers to make in-service presentations to BH case managers, social workers and discharge planner in order to provide information regarding procedures for making referrals to such a Non-BH Provider, contact persons, and for coordination of such referrals. No food, drink, entertainment or gifts of any kind may be provided in connection with such in-service presentations. 3. BH employees may not solicit, or accept meals, food, travel, entertainment, educational “grants”, funds or gifts from representatives of Non-BH Providers. This “zero tolerance” policy will be communicated to all Non-BH Providers who seek to provide any such items to BH employees. Exceptions may be granted on an individual basis only by the facility CEO where there is a legitimate relationship separate from the workplace (i.e., a family relationship). 4. This policy is in addition to and supplements the provisions of the BH Conflict of Interest Policy and all other BH policies relating to relationships with outside vendors. The restrictions in this Section B do not apply to BH Providers. D. Non-BH Provider Applications 1. Non-BH Providers will be required to provide information from time to time concerning the services provided, applicable licenses, ownership, and key contacts and other information as required. 2. Staff of Non-BH Providers will be required to provide information demonstrating appropriate licensure and including adequate information for conducting necessary searches of databases to demonstrate there is no exclusion from federal programs, and other information as required. E. Violation of Policy 1. Non-BH Providers that do not adhere to the policy may face disciplinary actions, including temporary or permanent inability to enter Banner facilities. IV.
